Air Release Valve

Kinetic Air Release Valve that combines both large
orifice & small orifice functions within one unit. The large orifice allows air to be expelled from the
system during filling of a pipeline and admit air
back into the system whenever sub-atmospheric
pressure occurs. Air is vented from the system
until water enters the valve and lifts the float
against its seat, ensuring a tight seal. In the event
of sub-atmospheric pressure in the system, the
water level drops causing the float to fall from its
seat and allow the admission of air.
To release air when the main is being filled and to
close and remain closed when the pipe is full to prevent loss of water. To open and admit air while
the main is being emptied. To release air
accumulated under pressure during normal
working conditions in the pipe, again without loss
of water. In Kinetic Air Valve, this operation is
effected automatically by means of a ball float
working in conjunction with an orifice of
appropriate type for the duty
40mm (1 1/2”) – 200mm (8”) sizes.
General use :
- Disposal of large volumes of air during fill of the pipes of system.
- Add great amount of air to the system during the purge of the pipes.
- Release of pressurized air pockets during operation.
Service conditions :
- Turbid or clear water, filtered water, Sewage.
- Working pressures 0.2 bar up to 18 bar.
- Temperature range 0°C to +70°C.
